The student blogging challenge is over this week. Although it was a whole lot of fun, my journey on this website is over. I really enjoyed writing on here but its just not something I’m really interested in continuing. How about you though, Id love to hear if your guys reading this are going to continue blogging. Let me know why or why not too. I think im just going to wrap it up so thanks for reading and have a great rest of your quarantine, or if you aren’t in quarantine right now, have a great rest of your life.
My School SBC6
At my school we have lots of events put on by our leadership program. We do things like rally’s, socials, and dances. The spirit rally’s are for recognizing the kids with good grades. Depending on the theme, you usually get your group called and then walk through some sort of fun obstacle course. The group you placed in depends on your GPA from the previous quarter. Socials are kinda like carnivals, there’s a bunch of games that the leadership kids make, bouncy castles, and raffles for sweets. Lastly, the dances, There super fun. The theme usually goes along with the spirit day we would have on that day. You don’t have to just dance, we usually have a Wii, or Foosball for the kids who don’t want to dance. There’s also tons of food, which is awesome.
Earth day
The 50th Earth day was this week, but were not taking very good care of our Earth. Just one Thing that could help the Earth out a lot is recycling. This practice helps so much because the things that get recycled helps to make new things instead of just getting thrown out into the environment. By recycling there is less of a need to harvest natural resources, like trees. This could save so many habitats all around the world. Making materials out of recycled resources also takes less power than making things out of raw materials. For example, making aluminum from scratch takes 95% more energy than making it from recycled goods. These are just a few examples of why recycling is so good for our planet, and by doing it, you could change the world.
Spring break
I’m on spring break until March 30. I will participate in the Student Blogging Challenge when I return.
About Me, SBC1
I’m Tyler, I’m 14 years old and I live in northern California. I love basketball, it’s one of the most important things in the world to me. I’ve been playing for around 4 years now and I can’t imagine life without it. I played on my middle school team for all 3 years, I played CYO, which is a catholic youth organisation, for 4 years, and I just made a 16u travel team. When I’m not on the court, though, I’ll probably be riding my bike around town with my friends, swimming, wake boarding or golfing. My family is a big part of my life too because they all live in california. I’m the oldest of 2, it’s just me, my sister, my mom, and my dad. Both my parents went to the same middle school as me, and they also went to the high school I’m going to. That’s where they met and started dating. I have two dogs, a little chihuahua named Peanut, and a big boxer pitbull mix named piper.
The Invisible Man WP1
Over the weekend, me and a couple of friends went to see, “The Invisible Man.” It was a super good movie and, surprisingly, I slept just fine that night. That’s not me saying it wasn’t a scary movie, because it was, it was just very situational to say the least. So basically this girl, Cicilia, is dating this really rich, smart, scientist dude named Adrian. He’s very abusive so she escapes his house at night and hides out at a cop’s house who works with her sister. It comes out a couple of weeks later that Adrian killed himself, so Cicilia clearly feels a lot better and less stressed out. Gradually, though, weird things start happening to her, like during a job interview, all the papers from her portfolio are missing when she tries to show the man interviewing her. Later in that same interview, she passes out. Later, she finds out that Adrian made a suit that could turn invisible and faked his own suicide, just so he could ruin Cicilia’s life. I luckily haven’t ticked off any rich scientists lately, so that was the reason I slept perfectly fine the night I saw the movie. Like I said though, it was a really good movie and I highly recommend you watch it.
